Guideville Band of Pomo Indians

The Guideville Band of Pomo Indians is a Native American tribe of the Pomo Indians of northern California.[1]

History

The tribe's origin is of the original setters of areas in Mendocino, Lake, and Sonoma Counties. The Guidevilles however claim they were also original settlers of Contra Costa County as well, a notion used to stake a claim on their Point Molate property where they have contentiously and unsuccessfully attempted to build a Las Vegas style casino.[1]

The tribe currently has 122 members.[1]

Other bands of Pomo include the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians and the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians.
